Most Tractor Trailers are (13ft 6in), the bridge in front of me is (12ft 6in), what would you do?

  • idiots pulling a dump trailer or flatbed.

  • @revolmlif Yeah I figured he was in New York. Only state that you add 1 foot to.

  • NEW YORK

  • i guess not all 12'6 marked bridges are created equal...

  • that is true i'm a truck driver and its true.

  • He's not being dumb he's being sarcastic. You go ahead and check your atlas and add 30 out of route miles to your trip all because NY lies about low clearances.

  • I have heard that they "measure from the curb" on bridge heights in NY, and that they do this for when there is a lot of snow on the road, which would make clearance less. Idk if is's true, but that is the story I got from a Buffalo city cop.

  • NYC always marks their bridges 1 foot lower then they really are. In some cases, even 2 feet. Its rediculous. Good video though
