  • Awesome man! they active and alert.

  • hey its me again. I was just curious are those all copper fry? and are they in a spawn tank or growout tank? what sizes do you personally use and what age do you move them from spawn to growout?

  • WOW SOOOOO BEUTIFUL

  • thank you, you've been a great help!

  • I sell my fish quite cheaply at about 1.50-2 US$ a piece, normally not more than 20-25 at a time to one shop. So it includes a lot of driving around and petrol eats up some of the profit! A couple of years ago when I sold 1000opaque whites I made 1500 US$ and spent about 10 % on petrol!

  • yes i have seen pics of the original B.splendens and it does look like imbellis those are the ones that come to mind when i hear 'wild types' but i understand better now what it means, thanks! also i read in another video of yours you sell your spawns to local pet stores, mind if i ask how much you sell your fish to them for? i just started breeding and not really lookin to turn a profit but with so many fish maybe i can sell some to make room and a little extra money.

  • Maybe if you interbreed them with some other species they'll be infertile or die young, but B.imbellis is such a close relative that they can give ferile offspring! Actually real wildforms of B.splendens of resembles B. imbellis more (small slender body with a lot of red in it the fins)than the breeding forms you see today!

  • hey thanks for replying first of all it makes alot more sense now but i also read somewhere that some hybrids spawns are infertile and some (not sure which) wild types when bred with Splendens i believe even die a day after hatching!
