@pscomics Can´t you read French? It´s a divertissement, like a resource to give time to players to get ready for the next part, in English kind of a "meanwhile", actors and actresses are getting dressed for the next part

@pscomics onstage, they're having a big, fat bacchanal ... so this really doesn't do anything to advance the plot, it's just a true divertessement, one of several at that point... in the audience, people are dozing off because this is the worst piece of an otherwise very special ballet score (well, everyone else seems to like it, maybe it's just me who thinks it's trite and wishes it weren't part of Sylvia at all)
