Chris Hedges (1): The Myth of War

Part one of a talk Chris Hedges gave at a demonstration to protest the Army Experience Center (AEC) in the Franklin Mills Mall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The AEC is a recruitment pilot program being tested in the Philadelphia area with intentions of spreading to other malls across the United States. Video games and flight simulators are used to bring youth in and introduce them to the military way of life. Chris Hedges is the Pulitzer Prize winning author of numerous books, including "War Is a Force That Gives Us Meaning", "I Don't Believe in Atheists", and "Empire of Illusion: The End of Literacy and the Triumph of Spectacle." Mr. Hedges is also a celebrated journalist, and a former war correspondent for the New York Times.
