This is just a commentary on distinct possibilities in today's political atmosphere, by James Walter Orr. Each listener can draw their own conclusions as to it's meaning. This video is recited by the author.

It can be seen at:
http://www.writing.com/main/view_item/item_id/1073823-WEASEL-INFESTATION

It goes like this:
WEASEL INFESTATION

The weasels run, a mighty herd
Of charging little beasts.
They're waiting on King Weasel
To call them to their feast.

King weasel rubs his bristly chin,
Intending to deceive;
The weasel crowd bends to its knee,
Determined to believe.

The weasels, like the red brigade,
Will cleanse all other thought;
The land will run with bloodshed
From heretics they have caught.

The weasels run the country,
Storming homes and totally crazed;
We cattle lie and chew our cud:
A few look on amazed.

The weasels run the hillsides,
But the valleys run with blood.
The weasels run with glaring eyes;
The cattle chew their cud.

  • Randbrose,

    This is the first time one faction holds total control of the Administrative, Legislative and Judicial branches of government, removing the checks and balances. Legislative control continues, although Democrats have a slight majority in the Senate.

    The Senate approved the bill allowing the unwarranted arrest and detention of those posting messages critical of the government.

    They are afraid to impeach the president, for fear of him declaring martial law.

    Easy

  • Easy,

    Democrats controlled both houses of congress for 40 years up until 1994. During the Kenndy-Johnson era, they had a lock on all three branches of govt. The first two years of Clinton the Dems had all three branches. The Dems have a lock on both houses of the the legislative branch now. If people are afraid to say bad things about our president, how is it so many are right now. If Obama wins, they will have all three branches again. Well the Supreme Court is pretty much 50-50.

  • Randbrose

    As we look at the near collapse of the economy, with the drastic actions necessary to repair it, don't you begin to see what I have been talking about?

  • RANDBROSE

    Saying that our president is worse than, Lenin, Stalin, Pol Pot, Mao, Baby Doc, Hitler , Musilini, Tojo, Hussein, Kim, Amin, etal. Bush hasn't sent 6 million to die in gas chambers. Bush hasn't killed millions in "the Killing Fields." Bush hasn't sent dissidents to the Gulag (or you would have been sent). Bush hasn't murdered his critics. Bush hasn't executed his political enemies. Bush hasn't silenced the press. Get a grip and study your history. You are in serious need of counseling

  • Randbrose, I accidently deleted your message when trying to reply, so pasted it from your message.

    You may be right, but the people you named are most are almost all dead.

    See what you can say when Bush can no longer do damage, and the results he has set in motion have run their course.

    I sincerely hope you are right. I sincerely think you are wrong. We can't say until the fat lady sings, for it isn't over until it is over.

    Do we have a free press? Do you believe that?

    Easy

  • Easy,

    One thing I am trying to say to you is that we do have free elections in this country and if you are unhappy with the leadership, you can change it through the voting booth. The great thing about the 2 party system is that the electorate always keeps things in balance. Aren't you glad that change is possible in this government? I like Bush, you obviously don't, but the fact is, he will definately be out of office in January. Our constitutiion has insured that.

  • Randbrose, one of the things that I most dislike about Bush is that I think he is completely circumventing the constitution with his executive orders.

    IF HE DOES give up power when he is supposed to, I will like him a lot better than I do now.

  • EZ, This economy is like the Pigamllion effect (The self fuflilling prophecy). We keep repeating the economy is bad and it will happen. The economy is cyclical and it was time for a down turn. All I can confirm is there was no Marshall law declared. There was a smooth transition of power. I once told you to study your history and I encourage you to do so again. I am hoping for the best for Obama, but i have some very serious concerns. God Bless you and yours and take care.

  • Sometimes Easy uses a little hyperbola to make a point, lol.

    Later,
