Drawing inspiration from the experiments currently taking place at MIT in relation to technologies that can generate holographic video images "Dialogos" forms a "pilot" for future live performances and demonstrates the kind of dialogue that could exist between projections and performers and between the real and the virtual.

"Dialogos" is an animation based on motion capture data, transferred to 3D studio Max. It is a representation of a live performance visualizing a duet between a live performer (dark tall figure) and his projected kinetic hologram (short brown figure). In "Dialogos" the performer can pass through the projection and the projected figure can come out from the projection and pass through the live performer to dance on stage with him. Consequently the focus of the viewer's attention and the dominance between the projected hologram and the performer are constantly shifting between them within the piece.

This project is the outcome of a collaborative work between a performer (William Smith), a composer (Nikolaj Bjerre), two 3D designers (Kristy Sorgard and Ghasssan Zabaneh) and a director and digital choreographer(Maria Wiener).
