people who are against exotics because of poaching are just ignorant. its basically illegal to purchase most exotics that are imported from the wild..the vast majority of exotics are captive bred and captive bred animals live twice as long than their wild cousins..if living in the wild is so great why dont you do it? my kinkajou likes the couch better than the tree in the backyard. thats for sure.

@REXANOEXOTICS where do you think they originally came from to be 'born in captivity'?? sick

I'm not against owning exotic animals, I'm just not totally for it. I respect owners that know what their doing and are able to provide for the animal properly. Shows like Fatal Attractions on the Animal Planet break my heart. Although I do agree with @sidoraking . Venomous snakes really have no place in an urban area or around any people for that matter no matter how responsible someone is.

PUT THE FUCKING ANIMALS BACK WHERE THEY BELONG!!! THEY ARE NOT HERE FOR YOUR AMUSEMENT, SO QUIT CHAINING THEM UP AND PUTING THEM BEHIND BARS YOU SELFISH PIECES OF SHIT!!!!!!
-
@DecemberRegn That, is definitely agreed.
-
@50Jesse50 Hmm, tame maybe, but not necessarily domesticated. I agree though that some exotic animals can be great pets if cared for properly (same goes with more common pets too though). But some exotic animals should never be "pets".
-
@DecemberRegn I do know that. Alot of animals have been bred for many generation. Take Bearded Dragons for example. They were once classified as exotic. I do not support the owning of exotic animals. But, what im try to get at is alot of them have some sort of 'tame' or 'domestic' bloodline.
-
@50Jesse50 There might be excpetions, but people have to understand what's best for animals, not yourself. They're not domesticated and there's a vast difference between them and wild animals. Sorry.

@elburrodiablo That is so very true. I don't understand the regulations in the US (and many other countries). There are more tigers held captive by private owners, many in their backyards/garages etc., than living in the wild! And why can't people understand wild animals do NOT make good pets. When people can't even care for their dogs or parrots properly, do you think the majority will be able to properly care for a leopard or a chimpanzee? It's insane.
Many will be rescue animals, or killed.

@manakawari I agree. Most exotics that are kept now are classified as tame.
i kinda agree you shouldn't be aloud to have exotic creatures, if it is allowed your jsut opening a market for poachers or whoever who will steal them from there natrual habitat to make some money

thcinmybody, most of ours exotic animals are born in captivity, because it makes them nicer and healthier, we are not criminals illegally stealing them from the wild.

I'd like to know the percentage of the animals photographed here that will eventually be living at an animal rescue.
People...the dumbest breed on earth.

The only animal we can't account for is the cow.
And yes, you are a prominent member of the Breed
