i had to give up two beautiful shelties (that I still cry over) to good homes because I was in an abusive relationship and he hated the dogs and I didnt want him to hurt them.  Thank God I got out of that 12 years later and have another wonderful sheltie. She sort of has qualities from both of them. I love her so much. But I have never beeen able to forgive myself for letting them go and missing them tortures me. I wish I had all three of them.
