I Never Saw Another Butterfly Run Through

a run through of a scene between raja and honza (sausage scene) before my high school's final performance of the one act, and other members of the cast being odd lol.

I know most of you are not true theatre people here, but this doesnt seem like a run through of the play to me. I wish this video would have been labeled under something else. Also, the actors speaking seemed a bit bored and not into what they were doing. If I were in this or directing this would be very frustrating for me to deal with.

what do YOU consider "a true theatre person"... and im sorry to hear that, but this wasnt a serious run through or anything, it was just to go over lines BEFORE the performance.. this video wasnt meant for anything more than something to look back on for those involved.

yes... im well aware of what a run through is, thank you. and yes, this was a run through, i just happened to start recording when people were just sitting around being goofy... HAVING FUN WITH IT... and trust me, i have seen my share of people who are talented, dedicated, theatre lovers, and those who just seem to be there just to waste time, and that goes for just about everything in life now doesnt it.

@missmileyfan1 I'm in plays, and I agree that having fun is a great part of the theater experience. I've never actually ran through lines, though, we always have to do the play like we're going to perform it. Our director says if we don't, we're practicing mistakes XP lol, I'm worried that when we do this play, we'll have a little less freedom to laugh, because she says we need to treat this play with the seriousness it deserves. I'm excited, though, and trying out for Raja! Hope to get it!

@phantom1897 They were running lines. I hope they mean by "a true theatre person" is a person who is well acquainted with the habits and manners of a theater. THis is just a rehearsal to go over lines. Running lines can be really boring and thats probably why they seem bored. No reason to think of the director as fustrated, the director is normaly doing something else and just tells the actors to go over lines while they are busy.

haha we got second place with this play for my school one act i played irena and ya we all laughed at the sausage line lolz

I read your earlier comment. I am glad the leads are/ seem dedicated. That says a lot compared to some I was in shows with at my high school. Im glad you guys were having fun, I just felt you were in the middle of the play, unless you started rehearsal there, and you were having a bit much fun, especially with the content of the play.

Also, according to how you put it, I believe this is a line through and not a run through. A run through usually involves the blocking or whatever else is in the show. No offense, but I feel this video was mislabeled and I am with you that this was mostly for those who were involved with your project.
