LBA2, Little Big Adventure 2 on the PSP using Dosbox!

Following a guide (http://forum.magicball.net/showthread.php?t=13319) i have successfully run Little Big Adventure 2 (LBA2) on my psp slim with the dosbox memsize set to 42(although having it set lower doesn't seem to make much difference what-so-ever). It is pretty playable but without sound. In the video, i had level of detail on high but if you change that to the lowest, it runs quite a lot smoother.

Transcoded with badaboom on an nvidia 8800gt.

@pspvampire The issue is that all 3d in all official versions of dosbox is software rendered. There are glide patches that allow h/w accelerated 3d, but they're windows only. If someone was to port the patch to psp, it would be possible to dump some of the 3d rendering on the pspgu which could potentially speed it up quite a bit. Unfortunately, it's a lot of work to do.

@pspvampire I have a solution for you :) download the ps1 ISO of this game and use a positionGUI to turn it to psp frormat and run it :) thats what ive done

@pspvampire You can always run it threw dosbox on your computer. It works even without dosbox on Vista (not on win 7 thoug, no idea why). I remember when this game came out... I was so young... Graphics was amazing, there wasnt a better looking game for years. I am going to try it on my PSP now, wish me luck.

@Lamatje I wouldn't want that, it'll probably be for Xbox 360 then they'll make a shitty port for PC with broken controls and a crappy DRM system. I think I'd rather have EA bring LBA over to GoG.
