My dv3060 ran great, TO BAD THE GPU HAS NO COOLING AT ALL!...
Just off on it's own with no air flow or heat sink, nuffin... Just left to extremley overheat leading to failure after a few months.
Need to find some way to fix it I guess.

Try a copper shim to lower your gpu temps. Only $5 and comes with thermal paste. Search for "DV9000 Copper Shim" on ebay.
whats the fix... once you get it all set up with the extended monitor? what's next?

Just use special tools and fix GPU cold joint... Don't use heat gun! Send it to ITPROOF. USE REWORK STATION!

Is you GPU still working? In some cases there is a way how to fix it with rework station. Heat up GPU to 220 degrees for 1 min and than leave cool down for 20 min. It's shoul work again. But try to ask some it guy for help.
