Heart - Crazy on You (Intro)..played right for once!

I've noticed around you-tube that most of the attempts at playing Nancy Wilsons guitar intro to 'Crazy on You' are coming up a bit short. It's a brilliant little piece of guitar so I figured someone owed it to the people to play it right, so that's where this video comes from. Thanks for watching.

At the end of the opening lick there's actually a very quick pull-off that goes from the A minor chord to the open G and B, which I did not do, as I plucked both. I'm guessing that's what your referring to...it's so subtle though it works either way.

As for the harmonic, the studio version has one harmonic (well several notes but at the same time) at around 15 seconds. My version clearly has it as well.

It's shit quality but just turn your speakers up, it's not that complicated. Anyhow I'd like to thank people for the feedback. I want to make it clear that all I said was there's a ton of renditions of this on YouTube and very few are done correctly. I was/am confident mine was done correctly, hence the post. Maybe it came off arrogant but that wasn't really my intention.

@gaproman123 Spoken like a true child of the Me generation. I'm 60 years old, I've played guitar since I was 12. I was a studio musician and sideman in LA and SF in the 70s. I've played with Jerry Garcia, Stephen Stills, John Fogarty and others. I didn't have to go around telling people how good I was. Once I picked up a guitar and played, they knew. I'm also a Marine Vietnam Vet and I assure you, I do NOT have self esteem issues. As I said above, "ability speaks for itself."

Nice. Well done brother. Obviously an NW fan, know your theory and technique and play with heart (pun intended). I hear you giving props to a brilliant little piece of guitar, which it is, and owing it to "the people", which I take to mean Nancy (& Ann) as opposed to anyone out here, because most of us know fuck all about why this IS right. It is and always will be her piece. I'd rather hear a heartfelt, technically & theoretically sound re-creation/tribute than an interpretation anyday.

There are a couple of good versions of this. As for the "right" way to play it, I've seen Heart 3 times. Each time Nancy played it differently. And there are videos of her playing it at various tempos. Aside from this version, which is excellent, the one on classical guitar by Vagicle is also very good. And I have to agree that stating that yours is the "right" way is pretty arrogant. An artist doesn't need to brag, his ability will speak for itself.
