I wouldn't buy an Anvil record but these guys are so passionate and likeable you want them to succeed so much it hurts! It brought a tear to my eye and a lump to my throat.I kept asking myself why they carry on after so many setbacks? It's not just about the music but about determination and the strength of human spirit in the face of adverstity. If I had a hundredth of Lips' passion I'd be a proud man.The ending is wonderful.God how I wish them all the best!.

A brilliant and moving film.Like many I don't like the music but the film is an absorbing story about human endeavour and persistance. It's about standing up against all odds and to try and try again.I felt for "Lips" and Rob and wanted them to succeed so much-it moved me to tears. The ending is wonderful.

Just watched the docu at home with my girlfriend and we both loved it. I was in a band for 14 years so I have so much respect for you guys sticking to the thing you love. I have a feeling that your next record will be the big one for you guys.. Best of luck guys..

The burning question: Did Lips pay his sister back for the CD?
-
Does anyone else notice how much they love playing metal on metal?

Woa, cool.
I had some Anvil records (dont know where they are right know, some of the stuff you borrow someone and forget who it was), but for me they were "this cool obscure band no one except a few freaks like you knows about", like Sanctuary, Exciter, Raven, Riot... never thought someone's gonna make a movie about those guys, though they really deserve it. "School Love" was one of THOSE songs when I was sixteen, everyone who had a youth in rock should know what I mean...

Even if you're too metal to cry, you might get choked up... an unexpectedly-great, and emotional story :)
