Car manufacturer Toyota announced today it has developed a solution for sticky gas pedals found in more than two million of its vehicles, which were recalled last month. What is your reaction to this news? Do you think these accelerator pedal issues will have a long-term impact on Toyotas reputation? If you were interested in purchasing a vehicle right now, would you consider buying a Toyota?
At least they are doing a recall unlike Ford who from1982-1996 sold more than 20million cars with faulty distributor modules that caused the engine to stall without any warning signs. There have been many deaths contributed to this fault, but the only place in the world they did a recall was in California.
I owned a 1991 Ford and it happened to me while turning a corner across traffic, fortunately I had enough momentum to roll across the road and wasn't hit, But I'd never buy another Ford now!

GAS PEDAL MADE IN USA.
the japanese company that makes the gas pedal used in japanese made toyota uses a metal bolt assembly while the american company that makes the gas pedal used in american made toyotas uses plastic parts.
japanese toyotas don't have a gas pedal problem, and thus no recall needed.
to fix the problem, they are issuing small stainless steel adhesive backed stickers to car dealers to make sure the plastic parts of the gas pedal don't stick together
