  • Didn't realise the new posts go up the top. I thought they were being blocked. Now I'm paranoid.

  • @SJBinks No need Simon. All new posts are shown on the top just so people are sure to be up to date with comments, etc. Please, don't stop commenting on your Aus.Crawl past. I really enjoy reading them... even the ones you remove!

  • Arrived Down Under a few days after Australia won the America's Cup in 1983 in order to find a job in a mine in WA. Being from Germany I loved the country, the people and the Australian Spirit from day one. This band's music served as a kind of soundtrack to my 6 months stay then.Though I never returned, the memories and the music will remain forever. Thanks for putting ot up, mate !

  • @atzengruber no worries... and don't make yourself a stranger... come back!

  • NZOZ, don'r worry about getting a root, so glad you put this up

  • @yellowbelly1966

  • I'm not permanently incapacitated. Don't believe everything you read in the media. They're after the headline that will grab the most attention.

I happily challenge anybody here to any intellectual or physical test, not that I frequent this board, or I would have addressed this before.

  • I always wondered why Aust. Crawl did not crack 'the big time' overseas, surely they were known in Europe & the U.K? aside from being very proficient muso's they had a polish and quirky-ness that was very appealing...James is still tramping the boards like a trooper

  • otimo grupo com musicas muito boas

  • Jesus I was so in to Oz crawl in the early 80s, saw them heaps in the old beer barns here in the West, and if memory serves me well I went to a New Years eve Bash in the Perth Entertainment centre. The soundtrack to those days of freedom , surfin, surfy babes, the HQ panel van. Good mates, good times. special times, hey Simon if you are still reading these posts all I can say is thanx you and the band were a big piece of a great time in my life

  • @NoPlaceForLoafers These 3 posts are in reverse order of course. Bottom first.

  • @bluecent65 I guess you have to know what to look for.

  • @bluecent65 I always said we should just go there (the US). Once we started playing live to US audiences, the on-stage aspect of the band would have picked up a following like it did here. A band is merely energy. There is no reason why it wouldn't have worked in America as it did here, as live was where the humour between Brad and I became obvious. You couldn't get that off a record but it was one of the most infectious parts of the band live. Check the photos.

  • @bluecent65 No, it was filmed around Koo Wee Rup in Victoria, top of Western Port Bay. It was cold. Pretty cheap considering the song was about girls of Far North Queensland and we were one of the bggest bands in the country at the time. I often wonder what might have happened if smarter decisions had been made, record company would have done more and egos hadn't spun out of control. The official reason given as to why we never broke the US was that they couldn't understand James' vocals. Sigh.

  • lived in oz for 12 yrs..18yrs later im still homesick 4 oz..canada suxs ass..
