@inkey2 Makin shine is an art. The moonshiners that took the time to make a quality spirit with all kinds of tried and true methods were the cream of the crop. They were the DaVincis of shinin. As far as taste, it is an aquired one, and their is the right way to drink it as well as a wrong way, sippin is the recommended method, gulpin will make you miss the whole party, so, I guess the alcohol content has somethin to do wit it to. Shine aint for all folks, its a way of life for some!

@inkey2 Back in the day, and exspecially in the country, there was no Tequilla or Vodka (stuff like that) and so this is what they drank. It was cheaper and a lot easier to get your hands on. And the alchohal content was higher than those types of liquor. But not all shine was good, it could go bad and people were taking a risk. It wasn't exactly made in the best conditions.

theres really not alot of risk making shine say compared to growing weed. The government can suck it, because by the time they could get a warrant my still would be ripped down and stashed away.
