Patrick Scullin is a second-generation Irish-American with roots in Northern Ireland, which play a major role in the field of study he has chosen. Mr. Scullin is currently a Masters Degree Candidate in the Conflict Resolution program at Georgetown University. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from City University of New York with a double major in International Human Rights and Conflict Resolution. He has worked in mediation for the Center for Interpersonal Development in New York.

Patrick has helped organize several conferences including the "From Conflict to Peace" conference held by the Office of the President at Georgetown University, and internationally having written the agenda for the "Peace, Democracy and Human Rights in Asia" conference, called for by the Dalai Lama at the renowned Forum 2000 in the Czech Republic. He has also volunteered in Northern India with Tibetan Refugees. Patrick completed a year-long project on the United States institute of Peace "PeaceMedia" initiative as a research assistant at Georgetown, and has recently joined the Trailhead Perspectives team for sustainable development work. Scullin is currently a founding member of a systems design consultancy, The Volta Collaborative. Patrick has also taken on the roll of Collaboration Engineer for a diverse and dynamic team of contractors at Problem Solutions.

The organization that his family runs embodies the intersection between violence and peace, as his uncle was a fire fighter killed in 9/11 and they set up a benefit in his name... Stephen Siller Tunnel To Towers Run/Walk. Over 30,000 runners at this years race, which was nationally televised. Hundreds of thousands of dollars have been donated to the firefighter burn center and to children who have lost their parents. They have awarded scholarships, built an $11 million orphanage, helped Katrina victims, and build homes for returning Veterans from war overseas.
