@akm5176 that means its a bugle
-
hahaa its great

The cylindrical bore will only emphasize the odd harmonics unlike brass instruments' conical bores
-
@akm5176 well it uses a trumpet but he changes the pitch by manipulating hand in the "bell" therefore it is more like playing a classical horn which is an ancestor of the modern valved horn (horn of course referring to french horn)
-
you my friend are a very crazy man :)

@VampireChick1231 too bad french horn players are not smart enough to spell "awesome". baritone players unite!
Actually he says in the video "its basicly a trumpet" which is completely correct. It is not a french horn...only shaped like one. Trumpets at one point in time had no valves at all. Shape doesnt term the instruments class, its sound, means of being played, and how/what it vibrates classifies it. He is infact playing a trumpet like he said. O.o and he called it a hosaphone i bet jokingly because its a hose....hosa(hose) phone(sound). so hes still right.

Actually, the credit for coining the name goes to David Ross (I think). I forgot to post a link to his website in the description, but I'll do that right now.

Whoops, that's David A. Roth that coined the name, AFAIK.

Wow, thanks for the woohoo!
You know, I think Homer Simpson made that expression popular. Woohoo and D'oh! Cool. Thank you, come again.
