Blue Springs resident Ken Landes says an Independence Police Officer pulled a gun on him during an Oct. 23 traffic stop for broken tail lights. The IPD submitted this dash cam video of the incident.
Yeah, well it goes like this. If you are a cop pulling someone over, you generally have no idea who you are stopping until you make contact. Are they just a regular citizen, or a murderer, or someone with a warrant ? A third striker? Added to it, the fact that this person failed to stop until.......whenever. Add to it that it's dark outside and easier to conceal things like weapons. Just do what they need you to, and make your case later in court
does not look to me like he pointed it at him... Guess you should pull over when the police turn on the lights. Dont make them follow you for ever to get you to stop. Thats why he had his gun out .
Wow!!! You serious!? His tactics if he got shot it would be he needed training.. Come on people police this police that! Leave police alone they have a family they'd like to go home to after every shift too. Freaking WOW
wow he had it out of his holster, big deal! fucking deal with it. he had full control of it and i'm pretty sure he wants to be ready just in case something happens he could react quick on it. i think he wants to live to see next morning. he is just trying to survive.
You can't see what the officer is off camera. and I'm sure the officer knows where the camera picks up at. Still sounds like a frivolous claim against the police.
well judging by this small segment of the video, the cop was following protocall. looks like a smart cop to me.

Are you kidding me?
He didn't point it... shout at the person (as far as I can tell)
When someone hesitates in pulling over, the officer (b/c of his training) suspects that the person may be attempting to get his hands on a weapon.
What a bunch of silliness!
