True Blood -- Eric - Godric -- 'Give Me Reason' --

Eric struggles to understand the changes in Godric versus his memories of who Godric used to be.

Eric cannot understand Godric's tolerance of the humans or Godric's inaction to the vampires being targeted by the Fellowship of the Sun.

I picked this song because of the divide between the bigoted humans and the vampires.
And the divide that is growing between Eric and Godric due to Eric's confusion over how Godric is acting.

Will Eric ever understand or forgive his maker for ending his own life? . . .

Touches on Eric and Sookie's changing relationship but since I want to do a video of just those two later on, I didn't go into this too deeply.

I don't really understand why Godric was so tired of living at the age of 2000, while Russel Edginton (3000 years old) didn't have such problems. In the end, it depends on each one's personal character.. Godric could'nt bear the boredom.

Godric rediscovered his conscience (in my own opinion) and the world around him just wasn't the same after that.

@barkinas I'm not sure. I don't think they have ever mentioned it. I do believe there are more flashbacks to come in this season concerning Godric, so maybe they will explain it. :)

@SweetCandy4Me Godric is Eric's maker - 1000 years ago when Eric was a Viking warrior and he lay dying. Godric asked if he would like to live and be a companion to him. So he made Eric into a Vampire. Godric got older and lost interest in life, death and killing. Godric let himself be captured so he could end his life. Eric was hell bent on saving him but Godric just could not keep living, so he took his own life in the sun.

Short but sweet version. Not enough room to explain it all. :)

absolutely. I think we will see more Allan now that TB fans are so into him. amazing job for a 19 year old to portray someone so old and world weary. he did a wonderful job.

@barkinas Godric was turned by a Roman Lord, after he was taken to be a slave as a child, he was turned at 16, he in turn learnt everything her could from his sadistic maker b4 killing him (For all the torture he had endured as a human), for which he was shunned and fled from from Vampire higher order and became a Nomad.. Finally finding Eric.. Well so say Truebloodwiki..

As for the end, I believe he has evolved into something greater..

@barkinas Godric was captured as a small boy by the Roman army during one of Julius Caesar's invasions of Gaul. He was brought back to Rome and sold as a slave to a roman master, who eventually revealed himself to be a vampire. His new master was cruel and sadistic.
