Ajay has a point on the transaction of the exchange of cash for drugs, guns and other illegal activity domestically and also beyond our jurisdiction but my problem with this type of proposal is giving the banks a complete or at least a disproportionate control over cash that is ours. If the ratio was bigger for electronic transactions than cash transactions, banks could have a heavy influence on where, when and how we can even use our cash.
