Very disturbing is the belief of Muslim terrorists that they need to commit terrorism to prove they are worthy Muslims, like a gangster who needs to commit a crime, like murder of a member of a rival gang, to prove that he is a worthy gang member. So, this has to do with more than just practicing a religion of Islam, but a person's self-esteem, which is psychological. A person who doesn't know who he is is forever in the dark and easily manipulated.
