Just thought I'd show off some cardoons and fava bean plants to people who might not be familiar with them yet, discussing things I like about them and suggestions for how to grow and use them.

  • That is true, Michigan has poor soils, and is prone to droughts that last a month at a time. Also, I do not water. One of the beauties of favas is they do well even in poor soils, and though I do not water the yields are good.

  • you can remove bitterness by peeling skin off (fava beans)
