people like to blame their current problems on the current president, in a decade or two bush will be looked back on as one of the better presidents in American history with his response to 9/11 and the measures he took in preventing global terrorism. Just like Truman left with shitty ratings but it is now widely accepted with the policies and departments he created to combat communism he was one of our greater presidents.

america is a pretty appalling place
-
Funny the rest of the polls say 22% for final approval rating.
-
Oh no, Bush has a lot to be proud of. At lest he had a better approval rating the Nixon.
And he did successfully dodge that shoe that was thrown at him. All that other shit, Katrina, sounding like a drunken hobo during speeches, reading 'my pet goat' up-side down and sitting like a dip-shit as 911 unfolded and blowing trillion$ on Iraq are just minor details, so over all, good job.

I'll add the big ENRON fiasco to that cluster fuck of a presidential blunder list...Hey George I hope your conscience allows you to sleep well at night as the rest of america goes to hell in a hand basket...I hope you americans never elect another short bus republican ever again...

Looks like dispite everything, millions of Americans still supported him. Dispite the wars, economic depression, incidents like famously spitting on camera on the whithouse lawn, blundering speeches, the winks and grins from behind the podium, Katrina, the environment etc. Pretty Sad.

no, thats just one poll, Gallup polls are a combination of many polls, many locations, many age groups, and many demographics.
-
bush's final approval rating was actually 22%, not 34%

He didn't do a great job, hell, many would say he did a terrible job.
But he was still the President, and he deserves the respect every other President has received.
People approve of the fact that he is leaving.
