History of Stanley Elevator Company:
Stanley was founded in 1951 by Irving M. Stanley, then some time later Stanley became a Dover company. When Dover was bought out by ThyssenKrupp, Stanley became (and still is) a ThyssenKrupp company.

Stanley put in most of the Dover Elevators in Ma. NH. and R.I. until Dover started installing thier own product back in the 80's in the Boston area. Stanley had an agreement with Dover not to go after the work inside of 128 area. They were bought buy Thyssen Krupp. Thyssen stopped making the DMC hydraulic elevator shortly after this and started selling the Tac 20 and Tac 22. Stanley put in a better Dover than Dover did.

I've Seen a Dover Installed by Bay State Elevator at Borders in Burlington,VT.

Don't understand that Bay State went out of MA. Bay State is a Dover/ThyssenKrupp company.
