Self-Portrait is a short film about the nature of the artistic creation and the relation between an artist and his work. It is a story of an artist, who, while creating a portrait, realizes that the painted parts of the face Nose, Eye, Ear, Mouth, Tongue, and Hair have a mind and soul of their own. Those little beings start walking, jumping, and fighting around, composing and decomposing a big picture. In those movements, mistakes, conflicts, and loves, the authors character is being created the animated self-portrait. As a picture, but also as a film itself.
In other words: How an artist creates or how is an artist created? Through the animation of the animation and the self-portrait out of the self-portrait!
