Indie Number 1's from The Chart Show in 1988. The Chart Show was first broadcast on 11th April 1986 on Channel 4. The last regular edition in 1986 was on 24th October 1986. After that The Tube took over and the Chart Show had a Xmas edition on 30th December 1986. The Chart Show came back again on 1st May 1987. Its last edition of 1987 was on 11th December 1987 and its Xmas special was on 27th December 1987. It came back on 8th January 1988 until 30th September 1988. A 1988 Xmas edition was shown on 2nd January 1989 on Channel 4, then 5 days later it was moved to ITV and the show finally ended on 22nd August 1998, after 9 years on ITV !!!

  • Aaaaaagh, the sugarcubes, I bloody HATED them, it always sounded like the musicians in the band were all playing a differant song. Wasn't that performance of "Beat Dis" taken from "The Roxy"? (I hated those funky songs).

    Aaah The Timelords (AKA the KLF) who could forget them?

  • @DarkAngel182 I think Bjork was fine singing, but they had this other guy in the Sugarcubes who kept interrupting her with shouting vocals, which I found irritating !!!
