@PLoCzi I'm guessing this video is from the earthquake from that year's easter, so L.A. was pretty far from Mexicali, about 6 hours away, and Mexicali was were the earthquake hit, and there were only 2 deaths related to the earthquake but not because it was a small one, but because people are prepared and buildings are built to support earquakes since the city is very very close to the San Andres fault. Haiti's earthquake was actually weaker than Mexicali's but the difference is infrastructure

@RubysTUTORials2 that's because our 5.0 quakes don't cause severe damage like destroying whole cities, causing amazing tsunamis, and causing massive nuclear meltdowns.
