SC4 visit by U.S. Rep Candice Miller (3-16-12)

U.S. Rep. Candice Miller, R-Harrison Township, toured St. Clair County Community College on Friday, March 16, and presented the college a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition for SC4's efforts in water quality and environmental sustainability. Miller toured several of SC4's alternative energy and green campus components, including the college's bioswales, geothermal system, green roofs, green retaining wall, living labs and rain gardens. She met with faculty, staff and students; interacted with students in an alternative energy class; and saw demonstrations of student-created renewable energy projects.
