Tuning a 7-string guitar down to G does not a heavy riff make. Typewriter drums clickety clacking away at inhuman (looped) speed constantly are boring and monotonous. Incoherent grunting passing for vocals has no character at all. THIS is real death metal. These days, new bands for the most part are nowhere near as intimidating as Amon/Deicide were in their prime.
