The time has come for survivors to support each other. By showing others that there is a safe place, more victims will be encouraged to speak out. Being shunned and excommunicated by the community is no longer be a threat.
The Voices of Justice will be hosting Pesach 2011 this Yom Tov, at a beautiful shul in the 9th avenue vicinity, on Boro Park. This safe and healthy environment is open for parents and people who suffered from domestic abuse or have been a victim of child abuse. It will be an interesting and inspiring event, with two sedarim.
The easy-going program goes along with a schedule specifically for everyone to be at their own pace. A variety of foods will be prepared by willing volunteers, most of them survivors who have the desire to be needed, in a safe place where they will not be judged.
Space is limited, so please call 1-800-958 2904 to reserve your space.
A SPECIAL THANKS TO THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL ON JEWISH POVERTY FOR THEIR HELP AND DONATION FOR THIS "SEDER OF FREEDOM"
