My bow season ended early this year with the harvest of my very first bow kill...

7:24 am, I dropped this guy at 22 yards.

I have seen him running with a bachelor group of about 5 bucks, but today it was just him and a 10 pt that was smaller bodied and less wide.

When I let the arrow scream, it smoked him and I was startled by how loud the impact was. It sounded like someone grabbed a baseball bat and hit a cow.

Ran 80 yards into a barbed wire fence.

It's not the biggest buck but I am thrilled to have my first bow kill and biggest buck to date...the only downside is that my season is basically over already!! I could have waited but my gut told me to take this solid deer and wait for a bigger one next year.

I am getting a shoulder mount since it is such a special deer for me. I spent many days filling the feeder, sitting in the summer heat and watching, and staying glued to the trail camera waiting on what is going to show itself next.

  • 0:22 is why chronic wasting disease is spreading across heavily hunted land of America. Hunters do nothing but destroy Gods beautiful work.

  • It never ceases to amaze me how much the uneducated are so quick to speak. You don't have the the slightest clue about hunting. There is not a greater feeling in the world than to experience a hunt. I understand that you have never been exposed to hunting, and for this I feel sorry for you. However, I think it is foolish for you to criticize something you don't have the slightest clue about.

FYI, chronic wasting disease in whitetail deer has not even been detected in Texas.

  • congrats on an awesome buck with your bow! 5* and subbed!

  • Nice deer, pay no attention to the "tree hugger". If they had there way we would all be eating leaves. The only way anything would die is from them talking it to death.
