Fantastic rendition of 'No Regrets' from Scotland's own Midge Ure! Intro video music by Jane Crawford. From the ABC hall in Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow this is the concert the Labour Party tried to ban!!! Wonderwoman, Lou Hickey, Alex Salmond and Midge Ure.

What the newspapers said before the gig; -
THE SNP could be breaking electoral laws by offering free entry to a Midge Ure gig, a senior Labour figure claimed yesterday.

The Nats are giving music fans tickets to a concert by the Ultravox musician tonight in exchange for registering their support for the nationalist cause.

But former MSP Gordon Jackson QC said: "That offer sounds to me like an inducement to vote for the SNP."

There are strict rules against manipulating voters during an election - with a year in jail as punishment.

The law states that a candidate is acting corruptly if they pay for "any meat, drink, entertainment or provision" that influences a person "to vote or refrain from voting".

More than 1000 fans of the Band Aid co-founder have signed up for the free gig in Glasgow's O2 ABC.

It is being promoted as an opportunity to support the party by registering for tickets via the SNP website.

On the site, their leader Alex Salmond also wrote: "I hope to see you there."

But former Glasgow MSP Jackson said: "It does seem to be asking people to register as a supporter and that inducement to vote.

"If a website was offering you two free pints of beer at a certain venue in return for registering on a political website, that would be seen as highly inappropriate.

"There is no difference in the eyes of the law in offering drink or entertainment."

Labour's Glasgow North East MP Willie Bain called it "extraordinary", adding: "The SNP cannot be allowed to break the law."

Poopers But a spokeswoman for the SNP said: "Labour are the ultimate party poopers - their negative campaign has crashed out of the charts by trying to stop Midge Ure singing.

"Their problem now is that young people wouldn't want to go to an Iain Gray party."
