START: xrandr --verbose --output VGA --mode 1024x768 --right-of LVDS
STOP: xrandr --output VGA --off

On the corresponding display-Subsection in the screen section in /etc/X11/xorg.conf i put simple

Virtual 3200 1200

that fits my needs (i could calculate, but with this i can use various external resolutions)

And yes, this is a Model M keyboard (#1391401) :D

  • Huh? I Simply installed xrandr and started it (in xorg.conf i set the virtual display size to 2304x1024 pixels so i can have a 1280x1024 pixels display attached).

  • How did you get the LCD Panel LVDS pinout order?.

    TIA!
