A film by Jogen Gazmere, Amnesty International (former) Prisoner of Conscience, on the struggle for human rights and political change in Bhutan, and the Bhutanese refugee crisis.
When was this film made? I ask because near the end it questions if the new king will do anything but it's been a couple of years since 2008, so is the video just not as new or has the king still not done anything?
Not evn 1% of Btn poltics.1000s killed&died sins for cause&lakhs still suffer but no mention:Bullshit Eg of partiality&favouritism! Stil praying innocents for vested interest. That Garganda guy needs deported to Bhutan jail for life sentence s he deservs nthng better thn that,U al r self declared corrupts not leaders.Eg. Ang-Sang Suki & Mrs Bhutto: how leader sud die for ppl than flee cowardly.Feel guilty for unplanned, immatured, foolish chaos u did in 1990 not knowing evn Democracy&Human Rghts!
They deed really good job on the video. I some time wish m a some powerful individual who can automatically throw the cruel conspiracy of fucking king. while but unfortunately i did not see the possibilities of Change in Bhutan.
It is a brief history of political crisis in Bhutan. Could you come up with such more documentation adding some more information, which this video has not covered?
@minjuremin Really man/women what ever u r..Common let get serious here. We are talking abt f thousand of innocent Life which is being ruin in Refugee camp. Here you are fucking Bullshiting the truth, Go to hell..
I loved the documentarian's artistic skill to explore the entire cause using Deepa's case sample; that in itself, to the entire world, stands as a mirror, which reflects the pains & sufferings of exiled Bhutanese, plus the wrong doings of Bhutanese regime. Above all, the conclusion in the film is clear: Bhutanese regime has only two options-- either to "face it" and lead the country to bloodshed or come forward to solve the imbroglio before it is too late. This is first of its kind film.
If we throw a closure look at the history, every ruler is found to be interpreting the history as per the mantras formulated by himself. Today's picture of the acclaimed SHANGRILA is tarnishing the image of the country and the people. Should a ruler ever get pained by the miseries of thousands of these people who still dream of a real change in the country?
Let Bhutan symbolize a glory; a glory meant to its people !
