One historical mistake with this movie: Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara said that america didn´t had to respond to the presence of soviet nuclear missiles in cuba. The US had been vulnerable to such missiles before, and their presence in Cuba made no diference in the balance of power, because, even if the soviets knoked out all land based us missiles, the americans would still have their vast fleet of long range bombers and a handfull of nuclear sub´s to conduct retaliatory action.
