i was wondering if kenny odonnel or dae powers were in this... i have to see this when did it come out?

'Thirteen Days' was filmed in 2000 and released in early 2001. Dave Powers died in 1998, his character is not depicted in the film. Kenny O'Donnell died in 1976; his son Kenny Jr. has a small role in the film, as an intelligence officer (seen in the film's first five minutes).

It's a terrific film and you must see it.

That's JFK's real nephew Christopher Lawford at 1:33; he plays a small role in the movie as a pilot who flies over Cuba.

I have this movie.Very good.The Cuban missile crisis took place before the democrats went looney to the far left.Back than democrats had balls to stand up to evil.John F Kennedy gave the russians a way out but if it came down to it was ready to face neuclear war to get those missle out of Cuba.Obama is no John F.Kennedy.

The whole damn movie is about Kennedy trying to avoid confrontation with Russia at ALL costs, otherwise why the hell would they have come up with such an oddball and last-ditch tactic such as a blockade?

Not really!Kennedy used the blockade as a way to give the Russians a way out.But there was no way Kennedy was about to let those missles stay in Cuba.if it would of come down to it he would have used war to get them out.

i agree obama is no JFK and its laughable when ppl compare the 2. obama cant even manage to reign over wall st nevermind run a war in afghanistan or iraq. the nobel peace prize is crazy.. he hasnt done anything. and the dems arent looney but i would say a lot of them have no balls. but the GOP are all war hawks that dont serve, live off daddys money and then go to wars and blow trillions of $. we need presidents like FDR, IKE and JFK again to lead this country to another golden age
