How to Make and Donate Wood in Ikariam

EDIT: I find it really rich of other players to criticize me for paying for the gas on theyr ride, if nobody pays for the gas the bus dont move, so stop complaining, enjoy the ride and STFU :D

Little clip showing how to use ambrosia to donate wood (Building Material) to Island Resources in Ikariam (Before Patch 0.3.0).

in Mars 2009 (last time I played) I had 7 town on 7 islands and minimum of lvl 25 sawmill and lvl20 on all of the islands, biggest donator on all of them (naturally) and the 1st to reach the 10 million total donated and then 20 million total donated by 1 player, was in gamma .org server, got highest to 2nd place after kujoe (I have a full time job u know, he dont :S). so the benefits from the ambrosia I donated to the islands, I played the game for 1 year and build up a good business relationship with other alliances members and had only 1 guy attack me a guy that had 3 towns on one of my islands and didnt donate to it for half a year, I cleared him out and made space on the island for donating players, mind you I had been polite and tolerated him for half a year of no attributing to the islands resources, it was a unique case as I played a seriously non aggressive game style, and a micro managed business style :D

yeah then I was in the highest average score alliance with all members in top100 and mostly in the south east area, it was phun, and then it was over, thats life.

btw there was a player that had quit with a town on one of my islands that I was trying to get somebody to take over coz it was advanced, and i hate getting noobs instead on the islands that never grow and just take up space, so I was trying to get someone to take it over, (made a post in the forum and all) but then I saw no signs of it happening so I just pillaged it as with all inactive towns (got billion wood and Lux, NOT!) but that got counted as some "internal trading" or whatever dont remember but I didnt try too much to get the account "freed" as it was basically the same routine every day and well I would have wanted to give the account away but what the heck that was as good as any conclusion to the 1 year plan, yeah I had this plan where I wanted to be after a year of play and it went like in a story, possibly the game is too easy, but I guess it depends how well you learn it.

lol the fun thing about Ikariam is that when your a noob its fun having those small noob pillages with other noobs. i had this one guy attacking my towns that had wine. so i send in 50 Phalanix and alot of ships. and he sent in 45 Phalanix and the same amount and it was an epic battle lol.

never got attacked successfully, was too big and powerful, well connected, good relationships powerful ally's strong trade interests the whole thing hehe

good thing for our neighbors that we were peaceful in nature, so many left the game in summer of 2008 due to problems and disappointment with the game that the player population in my area fell by 1/3 so keeping players from leaving was a problem.

I was mostly just racing other active players in scavenging idle players with my armys.

I bought my 160th one in january 2009 the first on the server if not in the game to go from the 120 to 160, it shot me up from 10th place into 2nd if I remember correctly, I sold and traded so much goods at the time coz everybody was buying goods for theyr new 0.3.0 patch buildings so I was getting huge amounts of gold coz I decided to wait with building myself, as it was obvious that the prices of goods would fall due to the 2x more luxury good production, was lucky to be in a powerful alliance
