Vargas was too young to be in there with Tito, which later we would all find out about his hand wraps, not only that, the amount of low blows that Trinidad landed on Vargas only after Vargas sent him to the canvas, it wasnt fair by any means, but Vargas was still in the fight, and for Trinidad knocking him down 2 times in round 1 and not able to finish him says a lot about Vargas. Going into the 12th round, the fight was close, I feel that the low blows and hand wraps did a number on him

you really thought vargas had a chance with tito?and when the fuck has titos wraps been an issue?you must be thinking margarito!and you are right de la hoya out boxed tito for the first 6 rounds but then he got on his bike !you dnt win a fight by running and getting tagged for the last six rounds,i dnt care how good you did in the 1st 6!

I never thought Vargas was much of a fighter. The best I've seen him look was against Ike Quartey and still then u could tell he was winning just because he tried harder, not fought better. Once he stepped up competition he started the end of his career
