We caught three in the trap, and here they are resting on the hedge in the morning! The other two moths after are a Buff Tip and a rather pretty Scarce Silver Lines.

  • A skinner moth trap, if you want to see what it looks like, search it in google images :)

  • Aye, that's the commonest of the hawk-moths (I've seen 11 this year, plus 30 caterpillars) Others to look out for are the elephant hawk moth, the privet hawk moth and the pebble prominent
