"Chicho" Mariano Frumboli and Juana Sepulveda performing Claude Debussy's "Clair de Lune" at the Yunta Brava festival that took place in Çeşme, Turkey, in May 2008. The quality of the video is a bit poor due to the bad lighting; however, since the video is not seen elsewhere yet, we decided to upload it nevertheless.
Credits to Maria L. (Tangolesvos) for filming it and Kyriakos for ripping it.

  • hello :)

  • Brilliant interpretation! Love it!

  • Thank you Sebastian (?). We couldn't put it in better words.

  • so delicate moves. you can't really tell whether they are doing the tango or ice skating, or even ballet. great couple!!!

  • BTW, this is a beautiful interpretation... every accord markato is respected, every arpeggio is proyected in the space or in Juana's legs... just amazing to watch how chicho decides to interprete this Claire de lune... just interpretation, he is listening... and following his heart, just beautiful.

    Peace, V

  • elektromidi, for the way your express your thoughts in written I have to guess you are argentine... what can I say then to you?

'Contemplate' and that's all... you might not like what he is doing, or it might not fit your conception of tango and how it should be expressed. But in NO WAY you can change the fact the he DOES feel he can and wants to dance on that music.

So basicly, you are powerless on that matter. Just let people enjoy or not what he does ok?

  • ha ha , elektromidi, you make me laugh ...

btw - is there such a dance called "reggaeton" ? thought it was still being invented.

i guess my feeling about this tango experiment w. debussy is that the dancing did not match what was happening in the music. i am normally a fan of everything chicho does.

  • That´s right, the track is Debussy´s "Claire de lune"...So, this gave me a new look about dancing....what could happen I guess if dancing hip-hop or Salsa with Mahler´s "Resurrection" Symphony...I want to do that now!...So talking in the same line...Im gonna put Mozart´s Requiem to dance Reggaeton. Congratulations...you did such an amazing mixing....
