The 4.7 is quicker from 0 to about 40. Now if you put that 5.7 in neutral and bury the brake pedal to the floor. Then throw it in drive and hold the revs as high as you can without losing traction... That 5.7 will launch so hard the pavement will crinkle and E A T that 4.7 I have owned both engines in WK jeeps and and ZJ's(4.7) The only slow spot in my 5.7 is around 40-45 mph. However, if you punch it from 30 mph it's a 4.7 killing monster.

@toddlerlou I'm 18, so I know how you feel but the Hemi only get about 1-2 mpg better than my 4.7 in the city. I may not have MDS but I am lighter which means i don't have to press the pedal down far to accelerate normal in town. To fill up either one, it's about $65...that's with the Hemi using 89 octane and the 4.7 using 91 octane

@4wheeler14 ya but now that gas is 4.00 a gallon for regular idrather only have the 8 whem im pushin the pedel to the floor because 80 dolladrs to fill up is a whole wor day when ur 17 like me and its not fun workin 1 day a week just for gas

Drive by wire FTL. Anyone who has a hemi GC knows that unless you know exactly how to launch it, its a dog off the line thanks the retarded drive by wire throttle in it. The 4.7 is a direct wire throttle so when you stop it, it goes. With the hemi, you stomp it, the computer has to crunch some numbers and then it goes. If you know how to launch it though by reving it to around 2200 with the breaks on it helps.
