14-15 December 2007, Thessaloniki-Macedonia, Greece! At last! After 2 years of dry and boring weather, I'm watching snowflakes again! I had forgotten how it was to see snowflakes flying around! The first snowflakes appeared Friday early at night, but as the temperatute was falling and the snowfall was getting more severe early on Saturday, snow covered trees, parks, but unfortunately not the streets...However, the snowfalls were getting even more severe at noon, but the temperature was above 0oC...
Unfortunately...that was the only snowfall also this year in Northern Greece (but not for Southern Greece)... Let's hope for something better next year...
PS. Orange light is better for snowflakes-watching, than white light! :)

  • @Dianna469 Here in Michigan we get over 3 feet in some nights because of Lake Michigan!

  • The most snowy places in Europe are in the south: northern Greece, Bulgaria and eastern Italy. Every year in eastern Italy fall 120-160 cm (600 meters above sea) and 30-50 cm on the coasts. In january of 2005 falled 280 cm at 300 meters above sea, and 150 cm on the coasts.

  • It's not that bad.

  • U should have seen my George seeing snow for the first time before we where married. He was like "What the hack is that stuff." HEHE now he loves it. It took 3 years to have him drive in the snow because he was so scear to get in the van. But now he became a great New Englander. There are times I cant get him to stop having fun with the kids in that snow. He a kid at Hart
