TORR: Dawn of the Red - Official Trailer

The Official trailer for "TORR: Dawn of the Red". The year is 2014. The world teeters on the brink of World War III. Carson Beck, a sexist army captain, is placed under the command of Sophie Delgado, a female CIA Agent. Their mission: to prevent a Russian warlord from unleashing a virus that will devour all mankind will keeping himself and his comrades immune. But Agent Sophie must learn about the CIA's true intentions, lest Captain Beck have a cause to lead the squad into mutiny.

This is a student film being made at The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). This trailer was screened at "The Good, The Bad, The Indie vol6." at the Plaza Classic Film Festival in El Paso.

Man youtube has been taken over by dickheads. This is an amateur film by college students, with little budget. That taken into acct. it is pretty good! WTF is with the shitass remarks from what I would hope were punk kids. As far as making real soldiers look bad? I was in combat for 4 years in Iraq, '04-'08 I know what it is, and no big budget pro movie even comes close. As a Marine I take it as a compliment they did it. Grow the fuck up and show respect. Ones I'm talking of will reply to me lol

@MrHeteroErectus real combat blows cause you generally just sit around waiting to get shot waiting for someone far away to authorize a decision. and i agree about giving them props, it looks like they actually did somewhat research.

@soldierdad100 BULLSHIT!!! ANY Military person does not take themselves as serious as you do...and NOT A SINGLE military person goes around looking at combat videos and then telling college amateurs that they have no idea what combat is like.

I happen to know more than a few guys in the 10th Mountain, which unit division is yours and where are you located. You're a tool, and I'm willing to bet you're not even 18, much less in the military you fucking shower shoe.

@tmdawson01 There were no advisers to the film. It was made by college students. See my post at top. Big budget combat films have many if not more mistakes...like shooting an adrenaline pumped enemy ONE time with a 5.56mm to the body and he drops instantly and is dead before he hits the ground...or is lifted off his feet by a grenade and thrown backwards! lol Never seen that in combat. Ever. So back off and give them credit for a good movie, considering. Also...real combat is not as 'thrilling'

If there were any real military personnel involved in the making of this, I would expect them to be offended at the dipstick running around with a long tab and Ranger tab on his otherwise sterile uniform. And what kind of high-speed operator carries an M4 with a carrying handle on it? That's a rhetorical question - the answer is, none do.
