It's an amazing song that I (TRIED) to sing to my daughter when she was a baby. What's the name of the singer?

I miss my ma, her long flowing red hair around her shoulders as she held me in her arms as a child and sang me and my sisters this lullaby. We were poor but proud of our irish roots. GOD BLESS THE IRISH.

My dad used to sing this to me. It takes me back to good times of childhood. 8-)

my uncle sang this for my grandmas funeral. this song has a place in my irish heart forever.

This is the best version I like. I do not like Bing Crosby's version. I am glad to know that there are people who like this tune. I liked this tune so much that I ended up publishing this song in the same tune at my you tube channel in my voice.

This song has been taught and sung through so many generations in my family, even when my my elders lived in Ireland.. My father sang this to me every night and still does, even though I'm 13 years old. :) I love this song..

I love being irish. My dad taught and sang me this song when i was little. I know i will keep up the tradition. Actually we just got a little puppy (named keira, which is gaelic for little dark one) and whenever i sing or play this song, she sits in my lap and falls asleep.
