My husband taped this song for me in 1990 while I was studying in the US and he backed in NL. He filled the whole cassette tape with this song because I always ask him to rewind repeat! His tape accompanied me on countless road-trips. I lost my greatest friend on 18 Feb. Yesterday I had this song played at his cremation.
We never say goodbye. Somehow, subconsciously I think we do not feel there is a need to.

When this song came out, my best friend gave me a copy on cassette and said that it was a song about us. She and her 9 year old son died in a car accident in 1998, and I hadn't heard this song in so many years. It brings back memories. Thank you for posting it.
