  • 12.3 million farmers in 15 developing countries are adopting this technology because they know biotech crops deliver more yield per acre with less input costs and with less impact on the environment. As the world struggles to feed a growing population amid the environmental challenges brought about by climate change, farmers in every country need all the help they can get.

  • @BIOchannel Then why were Monsanto forced to stop advertising Bolgard as having a higher yield due to the fact it doesn't have higher yields?

  • they're seeds of suicide for the farmers...this corporation wanting to patent plants (living organisms), keep farmers connected to the market and make healthy profits from it. The only problem is....this causes more pain to the farming community than the corporations. Often farmers end up killing themselves because the corporations who sell the seeds control the price of the seeds.

  • except the fact that seeds from the plants cant be germinated by themselves and if they do a multi-billion company tries to sue a farmer living on $0.50 a day if he doesnt buy their product

  • just shut up , you outdated creature , go out and get the feedbacks of the farmer , they are all happy and hay , thanks to this technology

  • hi starbuudh r watever , your comment is outdated , 2 yrs ago , check out the scenarion now , how far BT has improved our indian farmers life and status

  • the yields were low because they were using chemicals in the first place. Advanced modern farming does not use outdated chemicals. Gm crops are an answer to outdated chemicals

  • This is promotion is a huge lie! Don't believe it!

  • It is time for Americans to wake up to the dangers of GMO technology. Monsanto downplays those dangers, but they are real. One example:

A study published in the International Journal of Biological Sciences demonstrates the toxicity of three genetically modified corn varieties from the American seed company Monsanto, the Committee for Independent Research and Information on Genetic Engineering (Criigen, based in Caen), which participated in that study, announced Friday, December 11, [2009].
