@anglinthemtns Good Point!

@anglinthemtns Hmm, I don't think so because if you compare the style of Middle Eastern music to North African Maghrebi music you can see that it is totally different. Although there instruments are similar, there are some that are specially indigenous to the Maghreb region. For example, in Morocco and the Sahara there are certain instruments you will find there and no where else & this had nothing to do with Arab invasion. So it would be fair to say it's North African not Middle Eastern.

I tried to upload Mektoubi, but it is not possible because of rights. They say: "Your video, Amina- Mektoubi , may include content that is owned or administered by these entities:
Entity: UMG Content Type: Sound Recording Your video is blocked in some countries ("some" are over 200)

yeah they did. but the rythms used in this song sound more african than middle eastern .also north african music is a mix of african, middle eastern and medditeranean music. it's been influenced by so many other genres, unlike middle eastern music. you should know that. or maybe it's all about ones knowledge of music, or not
it's not middle eastern music. it's north african.

@sanzodono Wonder if the Arabs from the Middle East brought their music with them when they invaded N. African peoples- perhaps it is all about ones knowledge of history, or not....
