Prefer this to finished version on Safe as Milk- Reckon this vocal's better- more relaxed- more feeling

@2JAMMY Thanks- Hope you like the other stuff- Much of it is challenging listening for those who aren't already fans- Collectively- he has many fans all over the world- over generations- very loyal- He was unimpressed by mainstream success- The artistic autonomy he somehow achieved is a greater achievement than ordinary success- How he got his stuff past the record bosses- must be an interesting tale- Great intelligence and integrity- Huge unique personality- is how I remember CB

I never heard anything by the Capt, but I just seen in the news that he had died. This is the first thing I heard from him and it is really nice. This is something that I would have listenend to - I dunno how I missed hearing anything from him. I'm gonna go and listen to some more - RIP Captain.

@keltyk Well that's Don passed away--- I was feeling really sad and I thought this song could bring out my grief in a nice way--- So here I am--- feeling it with tears---

rip uber beefheart
Gorgeous- I think some record bosses in the early days must've seen commercial potential in the Capt and would've wanted to clip his creative wings. Maybe he could've made it as a white soul singer going by this one- but I'm just glad he made it as The Captain- and that now he's gone on to other things that give him deeper joy as a painter- he kind of started out with art as a child
