im 64 and think they were great machines i had two they were great work horses

@egleyst1 Unfortunately, the 2- foot blizzard we got in February killed my blade. I had to break over and put a blade on my '02 John Deere. As for the Gravely, she's still alive and kicking. I'm keeping my eyes peeled for a snow thrower (preferably the 26" snow cannon). I'm using the Gravely for brush hogging for now.

Nice L-8 Super! What year is she? I have a '74 with a modified Cub Cadet 42" blade. I only have single tires on mine, and RARELY need my chains, unless we get one hell of a snow.

@Lvfd416 It's a 1968. I like the dual wheel look and it helps when running on a slope. The chains are key for pushing snow. If it's wet or deep though, I turn to my Craftsman snowblower. I have the Gravely dog eater blower, but haven't had a lot of luck with it - need to try it again in earnest next winter.
