@starbuck680 Big smile here. I know what you mean about the ice on the INSIDE of the windshield and the feeling of being under-powered. I HATE being restricted to 65mph too! :) I will eventually sell it, buy something alot quicker, with a much higher top end, and not look back. No one with a modified / customized Beetle will tell me what their Beetle can cruise at, top speed. If it can not do 140mph+, the customizing if just eye candy. They can settle for 65-70mph, not me.

@whiteribbonman1 I had a beetle not sure what year it was. maybe a 65. what I remember most about that car was freezing my ass off in the winter. I remember having to use an ice scraper ON THE INSIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD!!!! talk about being under powered, it was dangerous to merge with traffic on a highway. only good thing I could say about it was that it was great on gas

@ 0:14 what is that long tube looking thing on the pasenger side window? I've seen other cars with that on them. what the hell is that?

@042576705 Sigh. Hitler didn't make it...

@herbieshirby You must not care about backseat passengers being comfortable. My '70 Beetle is fun but it is noisy at highway speeds and is cramped seating. I would never take it on a multi-day trip.

@042576705 It's successor in design is the Porshe and THAT is where I'm heading if I can't get my '70 Beetle to go faster than 65mph.

Thanks Hitler U,made best car in the world Economical reliable and good looks

@Skyche5 So!!!!!!!!? Hitler wanted a cheap car but he didnt design or build it did he?? Porsche designed it and determined working class germans built it. It was then brought back into production by a british army colonel and co.
